According to Asswan Governor, Mr. Samir Yousef, the Prime Minister has recently endorsed an L.E. 70 million project to build an 800 liters/ second potable water treatment plant in Jabal Shisha in Asswan Governorate. Project is scheduled for completion by 2007. Meanwhile he revealed that works are progressing on the extension of other two potable water treatment plants (in Jabal Taqoun & Qoral) to increase their design capacity by 250 liters / second each and the drilling of 3 new artesian wells to serve deprived & remote areas under L.E. 18 million investments. |
