| Description | Egypt Prime Minister, Dr. Ahmed Nazif, has endorsed an L.E. 912 million scheme to implement phase one of Luxor City revamping into an open museum including the construction of a huge river birth. 9 Km to the south of Luxor Bridge, to host up to 300 Nile Cruisers. Scheme would support increasing hotel rooms capacity in Luxor to 20,000. Scheme provides for the construction of Al Tood tourist complex, revamping the area opposite Al Karnak Temple & surrounding areas, construction of several bridges, also the revamping of Luxor railway station and the construction of a tunnel to link between east & west railway lines. [Fast growing tourism performance witnessed since the past year or so would greatly consolidate feasibility of the above projects]. |
