| Description | Since long debated, suspended & lately almost shelved [L.E. 20 billion +] Cairo Metro third line project seems once more seriously revived. Media reports indicated that the Cabinet would soon review financing of phase one of the scheme extending Ataba/ Abbassia of 4.3 Km length under L.E. 3.5 billion investments. Phase is projected for completion in 4 years. Earlier media reports revealed that front-runners to bid & part finance the scheme include Siemens of Germany, Alstom of France & Mitsubishi of Japan, not to overview possible Spanish interest through Timoenza. Egyptian banks seem also interested to participate in financing. [ After A.O.I.
