Contract was recently signed between the Mechanical & Electrical Dept. of the Ministry of Water Resources & Irrigation and Hitachi Co. of Japan for the operation, maintenance & technical support of the giant Moubarak pumping station in Toshki. The L.E. 1.84 billion station is to serve 600,000 feddans land & disposes on a capacity to pump daily 25 million M3 of water. Contract is valued L.E. 28 million for the first year. Development adds value to the unique project set to attract billions of investments into the area. |
