World Bank, Port Cities Development Program, Hodeida & Mukalla City Development Strategy, has requested expressions of interest among local economic consultants financed by grant No. City Alliance PT – P093946-GAPT-BBSLP. The republic of Yemen, cities Alliance Program for the preparation of City Development Strategies (CDS) with a focus on Local Economic Development (LED). Both cities intend to apply part of the proceeds for consultancy service to start the LED strategic planning process. The assignment period would be for 100 working days & would include building CDS library; conduct diagnostic review, surveys & analytical works related to urban development, local economy assessment, stakeholders analysis, prepare TORs for key studies, institutional development & physical investment needs & collaborate with two international firms that will be assisting the two cities complete their CDSs & Master Plans update. The World Bank now invites eligible individual LED Consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services by providing full resume and a cover letter explaining interest in the assignment, qualification, relevant experience, achievements & referees. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the producers set out in the World Banks Guidelines: selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (current edition).
