NAT –
National Authority for Tunnels has awarded L.E. 80 million contract to
relocate underground public utilities networks intermingling with
Cairo Metro third line scheme over 2 stages for completion in 2 years.
Each stage is worth L.E. 40 million. Works will start at Abdo Pacha
and Abbassia zone, also the workshop zone. Contract second stage will
cover Ataba and other areas. No mention was given to nominated
contractor. N.B. Worth indicating is that phase one of the Cairo Metro
third line involves some L.E. 3.6 billion and the Cabinet has recently
endorsed its enrolment on the national five years plan. As earlier
predicted competition for the scheme and its financing is set to be
tough and fierce among local and international groups. |
