Petronas of Malaysia has entered into a joint venture with Tharwa Co. of Egypt for oil & gas exploration and exploitation at 4 different areas in the Western Desert covering 65,000 Km2 area under $ 60 million committed investments over the next 3 years. Areas are located at Siwa, West Ghazalat, El Farafra and El Salloum. Development confirms earlier announcements of Petronas intentions to increase its investments in Egypt’s petroleum sector. |
