Egypt Minister of Foreign Trade & Industry targeting average annual industrial investments in the country to reach L.E. 20 billion [ about $ 3.4 billion ] over the next 3 years. The Minister has further revealed that annual industrial growth during FY 2004/ 2005 reached 4.5 %, up from 3 % last year, and that it is projected to reach 10 % in 5 years time. Meanwhile and in an effort to encourage new industrial investments, he indicated that measures are taken to reduce land prices & avail energy, particularly natural gas, at lower prices. |
