Egypt Petroleum Sector was allocated L.E. 1,034 million investments in the 2005/ 2006 budget (about $ 178 million). That included L.E. 93 million to the Ministry of Petroleum comprising L.E. 12 million for the rehabilitation of strategic warehouses, L.E. 50 million to complete other strategic projects and L.E. 31 million for the recent restructured Mining Authority, since months part of the Sector. It further included L.E. 675 million allocated for EGPC – Egyptian General Petroleum Corp for new investments [including L.E. 397 million allocated for the household natural gas supply]. Further included are L.E. 266 million allocated for GPC – General Petroleum Co. which has recently hit a new oil find at Suez Gulf. |
