| Description | Japan has endorsed a soft loan equivalent to $ 75 million in favor of Egypt Ministry of Civil Aviation to part finance the revamping of Borgel Arab airport. The loan is for repayment over 25 years including 7 years grace and bares a yearly interest of 1.5 %. Project provides for the construction of new passenger’s terminals and the revamping of the runway to be able to receive large sized airplanes, also construction of relevant parking areas to accommodate up to 11 airplanes. Project is scheduled for inauguration by the beginning of 2009. |
