Director of the production line at IBM will take over the CEO post at Linovo after finally executing the deal during the second half of 2005. Media reports predicted the deal to turn Linovo into the third largest PCs producer worldwide after Dell and HP. Deal is worth $ 1.25 billion to be paid in cash to IBM and provides for IBM to also get 18.9 % shares in Linovo Co. worth some $ 500 million. |
