Telecom Egypt SAE has recently bought 16.9 % of the shares of Vodafone Egypt under a deal worth $ 123 million executed on the Cairo Stock Exchange. That has increased Telecom Egypt Share in Vodafone Egypt to 25.5 %. Deal covered 40.56 million shares bought at L.E. 17.73 per share. Media reports indicated that Telecom Egypt SAE has in December 2003 bought 8.6 % shares in Vodafone Egypt under a $ 115 million deal at a price of L.E. 32.5 per share. |
