| Description | The Egyptian General Authority for Standardization & Quality Control has recently endorsed, for the first time, an Egyptian standard specification issued for the safety & security aspects to follow in the manufacturing of (passengers) railway coaches. Authority Chairman, Dr. Eng. Mahmoud Issa, said it took two years to complete this specification in coordination with all other concerned agencies including ENR, Cairo Metro Operation Agency, Transport Department of the Armed Forces, Transport Police Department of the Ministry of Interior, the Civil Defense Authority, the AOI – Arab Organization for Industrialization, Semaf, Faculties of Engineering of both Cairo & Ein Shams Universities & the Chamber of Engineering Industries. N.B. Development reflects the weight & importance of the National Industry. | |
