| Description | After his meeting with Sudan Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Ahmed Sadek Emara, Egypt Minister of Agriculture, Eng. Ahmed Al Leithy, announced that joint studies are to be soon initiated for a 1.6 million feddans agricultural development project on the Egyptian Sudanese boarders. Project, identified as Argeen, could host huge plantations of strategic crops supporting bilateral economic integration. Eng. Al Leithy has further revealed that a cattle slaughterhouse project in Wadi Halfa has been recently endorsed to receive Sudanese cattle to be slaughtered & transported by (existing) railway lines to Egypt. N.B. Project involves a complex of political - economical factors apart from its trading & commercial potential |
