| Description | Within Egypt efforts to cut down an annual sugar consumption gap of 750,000 tons, works are said to have started on a new beat sugar mill in Noubariya under L.E. 750 million investments. Chairman of the company, Ex Minister Dr. Mokhtar Khattab, said construction costs may well increase to L.E. 850 million due to increasing rate of the Euro against the Pound. He said the Noubariya experiment may well encourage establishing another beat sugar mill in Sinai. Shareholders of the company include Banque Misr, Misr Insurance Co., Delta Sugar Co., Dakahliya Sugar Co, also SIIC - Sugar & Integrated Industries Co., which would most probably contribute in the project execution |
