| Description | Media reports have repeatedly quoted Egypt Minister of Tourism, highly seen Mr. Ahmed Al Maghrabi, reconfirming earlier announced targets to add 10,000 – 15,000 rooms/ year to the country hotels capacity over the next 10 years. That goes parallel with the Ministry committed involvement to revamp Egypt North West Coast, where a deal concluded earlier with Tui of Germany was the serious initial start. Meanwhile, the Faculty of Tourism & Hotels at Alexandria University is holding a conference at Alexandria Library under the slogan: Putting Egypt North West Coast on the international tourism map. N.B. Here it may sound worth recalling on earlier circulated & reported statements of Mr. Al Maghrabi predicting each additional one million tourists would generate 200,000 – 250,000 employment opportunities. Message was possibly sent not only to Egypt but rather to all countries in the region to spread prosperity & reduce unemployment. |
